The theme February 1 to 3 at the 43rd annual Sunnidale Winterama festival in New Lowell is “Channel your Flannel—Calling all Lumberjacks and Jills”. Under half an hour from Georgian Sands in Wasaga Beach, the family festival touts itself as “the greatest little show on snow”. You’ll see a parade, watch the log sawing contest, bed races, browse a local craft market and have a chance to enter your favorite homemade soup in the Soup’er Bowl competition. Contestants have been working on growing beards since November to take away top honors in the Most Like Santa Claus, Longest and Most Unique categories. Judging the Beard Growing contest happens at the spaghetti dinner. Don’t miss the fun!
