How about those apples?

Did you know that one of the best eating, baking and sauce apples was discovered by accident on a chance seedling right here in Ontario? John McIntosh of Dundela, Ontario found the juicy red green apple on a sapling in 1800 and the rest is history.  The Apple Pie Trail in Southern Georgian Bay country will introduce you to all kinds of apples including our native McIntosh. As the end of September draws near, what better time to put on jeans and a thick sweater to go apple picking? The Trail runs through Collingwood, Blue Mountain and Thornbury, just a short drive from Georgian Sands.
