July is National Ice Cream Month

Did you know that over 90 per cent of Canadians eat ice cream? So it’s no surprise to see lines of Wasaga beachgoers wind around Grandma’s Beach Treats, eager to buy one of the frozen treats inside. On a hot day, a waffle cone heaped with a few of Grandma’s 48 flavors seems like a good idea. Wasaga Beach restaurants and cafés serve a lot of ice cream and frozen yoghurt in the summer, as well as gelato, sorbet, sherbet, not to mention ice cream sandwiches and swirls of soft serve goodness. With an explosion of sophisticated new flavors making an entrance and frozen non-dairy desserts gaining fans, ice cream month is one of our favorite times of the year!
