No one knows for sure when the hunt for Easter eggs began. Some say that it started with the Pennsylvania Dutch who came to America’s shores in the 1700s with a story about an egg-laying bunny named Oschter. They encouraged their children to look for Oschter’s eggs and the idea soon spread. This Saturday families are invited to an Eggtravaganza at Wasaga Beach’s RecPlex. Don’t miss a giant egg hunt, community BBQ and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny in person. The fun goes on all day long. If you’re in downtown Collingwood this weekend, you may want to count the eggs in store windows for prizes. If you’re lucky, you’ll run into the Easter Bunny who will handing out treats. Happy egg hunting!
