Is that singing I hear? In Wasaga Beach, summer starts well before June 21. In fact, Victoria Day weekend, or May 2-4 as it’s often called, marks the unofficial debut of summer in this Georgian Bay community. Visitors flock to Wasaga’s world-famous 14-kilometer long sandy beach, ready to welcome in the coming warm weather. Wasaga rolls out the carpet with live music and patio specials all along the promenade at Beach District 1. One lively spot to hit this weekend is the Beach Bar, 12 Main Street, where the Beach 1 Band will start the party off Saturday night and the Karaoke Gurus will bring it to a rousing conclusion Sunday. See you there! Just a very short drive or bike ride from Georgian Sands!
